Calculator Guide

How to Use the Calculator

Follow the steps below to enter your vial information and view the calculated concentration and volume.

1

Select Your Device Scale

Choose 30U, 50U, or 100U. This changes the visual syringe scale shown with the calculated result.

2

Enter the Vial Content

Enter the total amount shown on the vial in mg. For example, a vial labelled 10 mg would be entered as 10.

3

Enter the Liquid Volume

Enter the total amount of bacteriostatic or reconstitution liquid added to the vial in mL.

4

Enter the Desired Amount

Enter the amount you want included in the calculation in mcg. The calculator will automatically calculate the corresponding volume.

5

Review the Results

The calculator displays the draw amount, concentration, doses per vial, and syringe scale. You can switch the display between Units and mL.

6

Generate a Summary

Select Generate Protocol to create a summary of the values entered and the resulting calculation. Use Copy Protocol to copy it.

Example Calculation

If a vial contains 5 mg and 2 mL of reconstitution liquid is added, the calculator first determines the resulting concentration. After a desired amount is entered, it then calculates the corresponding liquid volume and displays it using the selected syringe scale.

Important: This calculator performs mathematical dilution and concentration calculations only. It does not determine what amount of any compound a person should use. Always verify calculations independently and follow appropriate laboratory procedures.
